Dear Dr DeSilva firstly thank you, I didn’t think it was possible to come such a heavy prescription in such a relatively short space of time. In hindsight perhaps going cold turkey on pregablin and amytriptyline wasn’t the best course of action. It was a tough lesson, however on the whole the doctors nurses, hcas cleaners etc were excellent., wonderful people.
If you have any young adults (or older) struggling with this debilitating disease. Then friends of mine who helped me and another chap on the ward no end could be a Godsend, obviously they wouldn’t want to step on Rachel’s toes. They are a group of alcoholics and drug addicts with years and years of clean time. (I wish!) briefly they have 6 centres for intensive treatment centres, 3 days and then a weekly online meeting, considering that the illness survival rate is 3% their hit rate is phenomenal. It’s a reasonable £250 for the weekend, for families who haven’t the means no problem they will cover the costs. So I’ve seen an escalation in narcotics use in Cricklade, it’s tragic really is. If you feel this could be useful to yourselves at the Surgery , I can let you have a Lady called Debbie’s number?
