My son Connor Pearson 03/05/1995 attended your surgery 09/06/2025 and saw Dr Singh re his mental health.
Connor has had a huge problem with cocaine use in the past and up until four weeks ago had been clean for four and a half months. He had some bad news and relapsed and since then his mood has been so so low to the point he expressed he didnβt want to be here anymore.
He attended the surgery after I made him an emergency appointment in an attempt to get some medication to heighten his mood so drugs were not his go to to make him feel better.
What a waste of time, Dr Singh was very unsympathetic suggesting that he go in to North East Addictions and only then would they medicate him. I am appalled, as a senior nurse working in the NHS I have seen so many young ones slip through the net and take their own life. How can they get help if they meet with Drs who are unsympathetic that they can suggest nothing but rehabβ!
Connor found that rehab was a complete waste of time for him, it was full of people not wanting to work and to live off the government. He has not been brought up to be like that, he is a good lad, who met up with the wrong people and unfortunately tried cocaine and due to his adhd developed an addiction. He can stop for months at a time and then something triggers him to start again.
He came asking for help and was turned away.
If anything was to happen to my son I promise this wonβt be the last, I will go to every newspaper in the land about this particular GP. — Mich…@nhsbt.nhs.ukreveal
