We visited for the first time after my son moved here from London, looking for a hearty breakfast and a touch of London’s quirky charm. We weren’t disappointed. The flat white was spot-on, and the espresso, with its rich chocolaty and nutty notes, was a delight. My poached egg was perfectly runny, served on lightly toasted sourdough drizzled with olive oil and topped with fresh rocket. Josh’s scrambled eggs with smoked salmon were soft and fluffy, paired with what seemed to be a wonderfully fresh “wild” Scottish salmon. Ben opted for a customized full English breakfast, and every detail was impeccable.
Sally and Ben, the owners with 30 years of catering experience, made us feel right at home. Their expertise was evident in every bite. We’ll definitely be back, though I’m admittedly a little envious that Josh and Tuce, who works from home, will get to visit regularly—especially with the added bonus of free Wi-Fi.
