June 2022 new rating <p> It was an incredibly busy day, we had a large buffet order which the staff on duty had just finished doing along with the lunch rush and we were short staffed due to unexpected staff sickness when we already had staff on holiday so the prep rooms were more untidy than normal. There was clutter about, we had been having a sort out of the bakery and things had been moved to the back room of the shop whilst they were cleaned and put into storage and some other things got rid of. The SFBB book was present in the building but had inadvertently been tidied away and was in a different place to normal, this has now however been replaced and updated and is back in its usual location. The main issue that was brought up was that there is only one sink for the washing of raw and fresh items, in the 8.5 years of having the business this has never been an issue and never been mentioned on previous visits at all or it would have been altered, we have now put a cleaning schedule/rota in place for the current sink whilst we alter the second sink in another room in the building, this is taking a bit of time to tidy up and rework but will be finished in the next couple of weeks. The bins were mentioned to be overflowing, it was the afternoon before the bins were due to be collected the next morning. The whole area has been cleaned and the bins have been scraped out and disinfected to make the area more hygienic and cleaner. Any bits of plastic that were coming away from the wall have either been removed and replaced or stuck back, holes have been filled, wood has been painted that was classed as porous and in general the place has had a deep clean and clutter has been got rid of. Staff have had further training re: E-coli as requested and the training manual has been updated to reflect this. We appointed a new supervisor for the shop a couple of months ago after my wife who had been running everything had to return to her main job in order to support our home and family, it has been an incredibly tough time for the business and we are not out the woods yet, it has taken a bit of time to get things sorted but the new supervisor has now got to grips with things and has everything in place now including new cleaning schedules for all prep rooms and the bakery. We have worked extremely hard to bring everything back to the high standards we have always previously maintained. </p>
